Yeah ^^ My next tattoo is going to be Gaara. He is going right next to my FMA one. I got this tattoo at a tattoo shop that one of my friend works at. She did the tattoo for me for free. The tattoo is on my calf ^^

5.) Three examples of irony in the truman show are: 1.) The first example is when Truman is sitting with Marlen and their talking about their suspsions and when Marlen says I would never lie to you. Also when Truman says it feels like im the centre of everything! This has irony because when they are talking about their suspisons ans Marlen says I would never lie to you, well he is lying while he is saying that line! When Trumans says it feel like im the centre of everything, well he is the centre of everything! Also when Truman says everyone seems to be in on it then Marlens says if everyone was in on it then I would have to be in on it too. This has irony because Marlen is in on it!
2.) The secound example is when he is talking to his wife and she starts to do product placement and Truman says who are you talking to? This has irony because when she does produce placement she is talking to the audience not him, and when their fighting and Meryl says do something, then Truman says again who are you talking to? This has irony because she is talking to Christof and to help her.
3.) The third example is when he is trying to find the girl and uses the phone to try to find her ans is trying to be really secretive about it, this has irony because everyone knows what he is doing and everyone wathching the Truman show know also knows what he is doing but he thinks that he is the only one that knows because he is being secretive about it, like when he ripes the picture of the girls eyes out of the picture and coughs at the same time to try to cover it up.

The Truman Show
Truman is trapped physically and emotionally. Truman is trapped physically because he can’t book a flight because the clouds are fake and if he did go on a plane it would crash into the fake clouds, also when he tried to go and book a flight to Fiji they said that their was so openings and that their wouldn’t be any open spots until at least next month. Also he is trapped physically because Christof controls almost everything that he does and he controls were he goes and Christof does not want him to leave so he tried to prevent him from leaving. Also he is trapped in a dome and can’t get out because there are walls all around him. When he did try to leave he couldn’t get very far because their was a nuclear spill and he tried to get out of the car and run away but the people that were their caught him so he couldn’t go any further. He is trapped emotionally because he is scared of water because his dad had drowned in water, and when he tried to get onto the fairy he couldn’t because he is scared of water. Another example of this is when he had to cross the bridge that went over the water, he tried to do it but he couldn’t so he closed his eyes and told his wife to drive. Also he is trapped mentally because he and his wife want to start a family so if he did start a family he can’t leave. Also almost everywhere he goes there seems to be squares around him this emphasizes that he is trapped mentally. Also he is trapped symbolically because he is in the camera lens and that the doors and windows and bars are square witch brings the idea that he is trapped mentally. The posters of airplans represent imagery because it is saying “this could happen to you” and “travellers beware, terrorists!” this represents that he is trapped mentally because it is saying that airplans are dangerous and that you could die if you go on them, this is what Christof wants because he doesn’t want Truman to leave so they puts those posters up to scare him.
















3.) Some of the religious imagery that was in the Truman Show are: Christof’s name and that at the end of the movie he says that he is “the creator” this is refering that he is a god like figure. Also Trumans name has imagery in it because he is the only tru man their and his last name is Burbank which is a studio for movies and filming. When Christof says “cue the sun” this is refering to the bible when jesus said “let their be light”. Another example is when truman is in the boat and he has the ropes on him, the ropes are in the shape of a cross which represents jesus when he was on the cross this also represents rebirth. The eagle on the boat and that there is a lot of blue and light colours represents freedom. The posters of airplans represent imagery because it is saying “this could happen to you” and “travellers beware, terrorists!” this represnts imagery because it is saying to not go on airplans and if you do you could die. Also the moon has imagery because when their looking for Truman the moon turns into a spotlight like when someone is breaking out of jail. When he walks on water this represents imagery because this represnets that he cant be destroyed and when there are stairs and he goes up the stairs towards the sky this represnts that he is going to heaven. When truman walks out the door at the very end of the movie and he fades to black this represnts what the directors say when they want to end a scence or movie, “fade to black”. Also when Christof makes the weather turn bad this represent that he is god because god can control the weather. When Christof is talking to Truman and his voice echoes and there is light and he is talking from the sky this also represents that he is a god like figure. When Truman says good morining, and if I don’t see you good afternoon good evening and good night, this represnts that Truman is finally free and that what he says is actually tru for the first time.
